Creative Voice Coaching

Ideally, my art ends up like drops of water at the intersections of a grand spider web: magnifying the heart of the matter and focusing our attention on questions that are not easily answered yet draw us closer with their haunting familiarity.

Heather transitioned to full time studio art in 2014 after a lifetime of juggling a full time IT career with part time creative work in fibers of all ilks, polymer, sculpture, and jewelry.

She has taught at all levels from community education through graduate business executive education and developed training materials in numerous areas as a way of sharing her expertise and passion for learning.

IMG_2045She is currently working on a book titled “Learning to Soul Sing: An Artist’s Journey Home” about her path as a late emerging artist and the recognition and development of her individual voice. She worked with Torey Hughes during her initial explorations, finding tremendous insight and encouragement not only to discover her visual style but also to reconcile a lifetime of straddling the creative and analytic worlds.
